Tonight Dwight and Deborah went grocery shopping for us. I came down to the kitchen as one of the kids was arranging a beautiful bouquet of roses in my favorite vase. When Deborah saw me she exclaimed, "Mommy, look at the boo-di-ful flowers!"
Knowing that tomorrow is Deborah's birthday, I asked if Daddy bought her flowers. She said, "No, Mommy, Daddy and I bought the boo-di-ful flowers for you cause we dove you!"
Oh, so sweet!

A New Hobby
Dwight has a tendency to take on "hobbies" that he obsesses about until he masters them. He's gone through a stage of making stir frys, sauces, salsas, breads, and other things. The newest one: homemade soda. On one hand, I can't wait till he masters the soda so that I can be the beneficiary. On the other hand, I know that once he masters it, he'll be satisfied and won't make it as often.
Oh, well.... tonight we had a great chemistry lesson with the dry ice. I'm glad my sweetheart is so dang intelligent. It would have taken me a month to prepare a lesson with all the concepts that he taught just off the cuff.
